Natalie's Desk Sale

A few times a year, the 4th and 5th graders get to host a desk sale.  It's very cool--the children earn Scholar Dollars for academic achievements throughout the year, they then use their Scholar Dollars to rent desk spaces from their teachers and purchase items/services children are selling at the sale.  Some children sell services, like painting nails, others sell root-beer floats or smoothies, and many children make little crafts to sell.

Yesterday, Natalie had great success with her floral and puppy book markers.  We used Mom's original photographs of flowers from our travels and some snapshots of our new puppy.  The bookmarks are laminated w/optional tassels, Natalie sold about 50 book markers in two sizes: large (2x6") and small (1x4).  Natalie has another sale before the end of the year, and will bring them back by popular demand.  Actually, Natalie is interested in turning this into a small business.  So, let her know if you'd like to place an order!  :)

Such a great innovator! No wonder you would like to design the shirts for the Tanner reunion! Did you hear when the date is set for? Are you working with Gwen? I would love to help!
