Speaking at Bishop's Youth Fireside

A couple of weeks ago, Aaron & I were invited to speak to the youth in our ward. The scripture story topic of assignment was Alma the Elder. I really enjoyed preparing for this assignment. We talked about Abinadi before King Noah and Alma Baptizing in the Waters of Mormon. Aaron was really excited to talk about the scriptures and I tried to interject how we relate to Alma. These talks were my points of reference in addition to the scriptures. They are just amazing:

The conversations we had with the youth were great--they are so knowledgeable and eager to learn.

We closed with reading, "My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes." D&C 121:7-8
