Jacob says hello and, "On the Monday after Valentine’s Day, we went to San Francisco with the whole family. We went across the Bay Bridge, and we visited the Golden Gate Bridge. I like the color very much."
Natalie says hello and "The things I liked the most on our trip, were when we went to China Town and Little Italy. At China Town, I got a Chinese fan and a scarf as souvenirs and in Little Italy I ate a delicious pastry at Stella’s.
We also went to the beach with our friend Cate and, her mom, Marybeth. We both brought our dogs to play together at the beach, but Buddy (their dog) didn’t want to play with Sunny, because he only wanted to relax in the sand next to Marybeth. We had a picnic there, splashed in the water, and played in the sand. It was a lot of fun!"
Mom (Jen): Well, it was a good week. We drove home last weekend from San Francisco. Had a lovely family trip with our new puppy. Sunny travels very well, and lucky for us she enjoys the hotel rooms. Since home, I quickly began to miss the fantastic foods of China Town and Little Italy. My trip highlight was discovering Pan Dore Mama’s at Washington Square. Yum-yum! There is ALWAYS a line around the block at Mama's and it takes an hour to be seated, but is totally worth the wait every time.We finished our Little League Pre-season Practices and begin our games this coming week. I can’t wait to see the boys in action! I’ve worked hard to introduce all the skills they need to play the game and they really look good at practices now. Yeah, I’m so happy to see them play well, it really does makes the game more fun for everyone!
Coaching is going well for me, even though a non-player hit me in the face with a softball after practice last Thursday. I’m glad I took the hit rather than one of the children and it’s a good reminder to emphasize the importance of safety at all times (even after practice). My forehead, eyebrows and upper nose got feeling back today, and have moved on to more aching. Ouch!
Today, we spent the evening with our dearest childhood friends, the Kilpatrick’s. Jackie had a family baby shower for her newest grandchild, Sophie Randolph. She’s perfect, and Katherine is radiant! Each time Natalie came to say hi, Sophie gave her the biggest smiles! I’m sure Sophie already knows they are going to be great friends.
Well, we hope you enjoy our little update. We are going to try to blog as a family more often! So, give us lots of comments on our posts--we'd love to hear back from you. :)

Well, make time for me to come visit for an afternoon when you get back south. I want to take you shopping and for a massage! ;)
What a fun trip! It's so great to come back to the hotel after work and spend time with Jen and the kids. We're so lucky that we get opportunities to do that.
