Our Favorite Parts of this Week...

Henry:  I love playing with my cars.  I need more Lighting McQueen cars--I want to get Sally next.
Jacob:  I played my 1st baseball game this week.  I did an awesome job as catcher!

Maxwell: My favorite parts of the week were going to have dinner at the Fradin's and going to the Bowl-a-thon.  I got 103 points at the Bowl-a-thon.  I liked sliding in my slippery shoes at the bowling alley. :)  I also had my 1st baseball game of the season, and I did really good.  My favorite position that I played was catcher, and I did really good hitting.  The ball went 10-feet up in the air, but I hit it too close to 1st base, and so I got an out. I played against the Angels, and that's what I did in the week.

Natalie: My favorite part of my weekend was going to the Fradin's house for dinner.  We had spaghetti, bread and salad.  For dessert, we had Marionberry pie--it was delicious!  That night, I had a sleepover with my friend Kiara Fradin.  We watched Kung-Fu Panda, but we fell asleep before it ended.  It was so easy to fall asleep, I was really tired.  In the morning, we played Wii Mario Cart!  I also went on the computer with Kiara.  At 11:00am, Dad picked me up, and we went to church.  After church, we had the missionaries over for dinner.  We had ribs, meatballs, salad, cornbread and juice.  It was delicious!  For dessert, we had left over pie from the night before.  I loved it!  Then we colored, Mom read a story to us, and now we're writing on our family blog.  The End.

Aaron (Dad):  I enjoyed watching Jacob and Max play their first baseball game of the season.  They both did an awesome job hitting and fielding, and looked SO sharp in their new uniforms.  I attended the baptism of Daniel Porter, and gave a talk.  It was a very special night, and I was happy to be there.  We had a lovely weekend together as a family and I especially enjoyed our time together updating the blog.

Jen (Mom): Best for last, right?! No, you'll probably want to stop reading this by now. LOL!  So, I had a crazy week.  It started with Max throwing up for 15 hours, followed with Natalie throwing up for 13 hours. Yuck!  They were so grown up about it, no complaining at all.

Monday, we received sad news: Jacob's 1st Grade teacher's daughter did not wake up after having heart surgery and passed away Monday morning.  Ms. Baron is in our constant prayers.

Wednesday, we had our 1st game of the season, and it was fun--I love being out there with the boys!  After the game, I went to our Relief Society birthday party at church.  We had a super dinner followed by group sewing stations, where we made dresses for school children in Kenya.  Some members of the LDS church have been hugely involved with digging wells and bringing books and teachers to the tribes.  We had reps from www.KoinsforKenya.org visit us--they are taking the dresses to Kenya next week, where they will be used as rewards for academic achievements. :)

Wednesday night, Jacob began throwing up for his due 15 hours, same as the others.  Poor boy, he took it like a champ.  Seriously, no complaining at all.  I love that boy--he's just heaven sent.  Henry also woke up that night with a high fever.  Aaron was great--he stayed up with the boys so I could finally get some sleep.

Friday, I woke up with the stomach flu, so stayed in bed with Henry all day and didn't venture out until the late afternoon.  I had to go to our Little League's Opening Day Ceremonies/Team Pictures.  So, with a little help from my friend, Pepto Bismol, we made it for pictures and thankfully made it through the event.

Saturday, I had Little League Manager Safety training, took Natalie to a Young Women's modest fashion show (50 models) at church, went to our Tijeras Creek Little League bowling fundraiser, and then ended the evening with a relaxing dinner at our friends home.

What can I say... I really love the craze of it all.  My days are busy, and I'm so grateful my life isn't boring.  Church is always such a peaceful way to end the week, and having the missionaries over is such a joy.  One of the elders played us his original composition on the piano and it was beautiful.  I'm so grateful for all our big and little blessings and for our health, family and friends.  We love you.

Very busy week. Glad you had some fun in there. Glad all the illness is behind you. My heart goes out to that dear mother that lost her angel.
