Natalie and Maxwell completed their swim team season this week. The team held an awards banquet at the park, with most of the 100 or so swimmers attending. The RSM Dolphins had a great season, and as a team, won most of the relays in the Western Conference Splash (WCS) Championships , and several team members placed first in their heats.
The coaches gave awards and records for each swimmer's best times in the various strokes. All of the kids who participated were cheered on and the support and participation of the swimmers' families made this a great event.
Natalie and Max agreed that swimming in the Championships with the RSM Dolphins was the highlight of their experience on the team, and each of them showed drastic improvement in their skills. It's hard to believe that a year a go Maxwell was barely comfortable putting his head underwater, and that Natalie was just starting to be able to swim across the pool. This year, they both improved their strength and stamina, and have become confident swimmers who love the water.
Even Jacob and Henry enjoyed the season, attending every swim practice and making new friends with the other families in the team. Jacob
Nevertheless, we all had a lovely time, and can't wait to rejoin the RSM Dolphins next year.

Wow, there are a lot of kids on the swim team. Isn't it sad when summer is almost over? I am excited to get in a better routine, but I definitely miss my kids being home.
